What we collect

How we use information

We use information to operate the site, respond to contact messages, review user submissions, moderate comments and ratings, improve content, understand site usage, and protect the service from spam, fraud, or repeated misuse.

Analytics and performance tools

Cocktail Finder uses Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to measure traffic, understand how visitors use the site, and improve performance. These tools are optional and only run after you accept analytics through the site's cookie banner or privacy preferences panel. Some browsers or service providers may still use local storage needed for standard site or measurement functions.

Advertising and ad partners

Cocktail Finder may use Google AdSense or similar advertising partners to request, deliver, and measure ads on some pages. These partners may use cookies, web beacons, IP address information, or similar identifiers where applicable. Advertising features are treated as optional and, where required, only run after you accept advertising through the site's cookie banner or privacy preferences panel.

Ratings, comments, and abuse prevention

When you rate a cocktail, leave a comment, or send a submission, the site creates a one-way hash derived from request information such as IP-related headers. We use that hash to limit abuse, support moderation, and avoid storing raw IP addresses directly in normal application records for those features.

Storage and uploads

Cocktail submissions, including uploaded images, may be stored on site infrastructure and kept for editorial review, moderation, and site operations. Uploaded submission images may be stored in a publicly served uploads path once received by the application, so please only upload material you are comfortable sending for review and have the right to share.

Email and contact handling

If you use the contact form or include an email address with a submission, your message may be sent through configured SMTP email infrastructure and stored in inboxes or application records so we can respond and manage requests. Do not send passwords, payment details, or other sensitive personal information through site forms.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We may share data with service providers that help us run the site, such as hosting, analytics, advertising, email, storage, and infrastructure vendors, or when required by law or reasonably needed to protect rights, safety, and site integrity.

Your choices

You can use the site's privacy preferences panel to accept all cookies, reject optional cookies, or change your choices later. You can also contact us to request correction or deletion of information you directly provided, subject to legal obligations, moderation needs, fraud-prevention, security, and recordkeeping requirements. Because some site features rely on aggregated or hashed technical data, we may not always be able to isolate every record to a named person.
